The Belgian artist Michèle VANVLASSELAER recycled old colored glass from a cotton factory built in 1928 during colonial times in Kinshasa, D.R.Congo and gave this glass a new destination : a 100m2 stained glass window (20m x 5m tall) inside the Art gallery and cultural centre Bilembo located in Kinshasa in the former cotton factory. The title of the stained glass window "Rencontre sous le Ficus" or translated "Meeting under the Ficus tree" is inspired by a huge Ficus tree at the entrance of Bilembo where visitors meet each other to escape from the heat.
